Reports
The Integrated Design Report produced by the project at the end of 2008 was approved by the Steering Committee as the basis for construction. This report consisted of an update to the technical design description (the "Re-baselining Report"), revised project sharing and schedule, the JT-60SA Common Management and Quality Programme, and the Plant Integration Document, an internal project document focussing on interface definitions.
Even in this report, a number of issues were not yet decided, and the design continues to evolve into detail sufficient to define procurements. Design coherence is maintained now through procedures of the Commmon Quality Management System of JT-60SA (an evolution of the CMQP), in particular those related to its Technical Coordination Meeting. This System defines the working practices of the Integrated Project Team, and provides a frawork for the quality management systems of the EU and JA Home Teams, and of the Implementing Agencies in their application to the Broader Approach Projects.
The evolution of this design as construction proceeds is mirrored by changes in the Plant Integration Document and its subsidiary documents, which is under the control of the Technical Coordination Meeting.
