Diagnostics

Most diagnostics systems will be installed from the initial operation of JT-60SA. A large fraction of the present diagnostics system in JT-60U will be reused, after modifications in order to fit the new machine.

Essential actuators and sensors for plasma control must be operational for a plasma pulse to be launched.

In addition there are magnetic probes, flux loops and coils, as well as diamagnetic loops, measuring magnetic properties.
