The year 2026 has brought some changes to the organization of the JT-60SA project. With these changes, JT-60SA moves forward with new energy for OP-2, which will include a new Integrated Commissioning phase and the start of the experimental campaign by the end of the year.
The following changes are announced:
As of 1st February 2026, Jeronimo Garcia replaces Guy Phillips as the JT-60SA Project Leader.
As of 27th April, Yevgen Kazakov replaces Jeronimo Garcia as the EU Experiment Leader.
As of 27th April, Akihiko Isayama replaces Hajime Urano as the JA Experiment Leader.
